The first episode rated 71,000 across the metro audience, well behind rival program ''Nine News Now'' at 136,000 viewers. Its midnight replay was watched by 80,000 viewers.〔(2.3m watch Harrison Craig win The Voice | TV Tonight )〕 The second episode on 18 June rose to 90,000 viewers, closing the gap on Channel Nine's offering which rated 107,000 viewers. In September 2013, the theme was scrapped with more popular recent music being now used as bumpers. In 2015, it was announced that Kris Smith would not be returning to the show and would now be focusing on 'health and sport' which the Executive Producer of TDE said was his strong point. She also mentioned that the show was moving towards covering more news and would not replace Smith. As of March 2015, Tom Williams and Sally Obermeder co-hosting Monday through to Friday with Monique Wright and Larry Emdur joining them (Monday, Tuesday and Friday) and Wednesday respectively.
